For M&S, the central role of the HR was much more important due to the fact that in order to control the declining sales and closure of different stores, the organization initiated a change management strategy (Aush, 2012). However, such a change management strategy hardly meets the objective as after the implementation of the change management strategy, not only the employee turnover with the organization experienced remarkable upward movement, but also the organization loss some of its key executives that further deteriorated the problems confronted the management. As pointed out earlier the change management strategy within the organization failed because the organization's HR management strategy was not aligned with the firm's change management strategy and unless an organization's HR has no support, particularly at the organizational level, it become increasingly difficult for the management to accomplish the objectives with respect to change management (Boselie & Paauwe, 2004).
